Mackie Holiday Food Drive Benefits Hundreds

Mackie collects nearly three tons of food for Northwest Harvest, helping to feed needy families in Washington State.

December 30, 2002 – Woodinville, WA – Mackie Designs Inc., an international leader in professional audio headquartered in Woodinville, Wash., called their recent holiday food drive a rousing success, collecting more than two tons of food from the community and more than 100 frozen turkeys from Mackie employees. The entire collection was donated to Northwest Harvest, Washington State’s largest food bank that collects for more than 300 hunger programs statewide. With a goal to fill the large company delivery truck, Mackie employees were on hand at the Woodinville Top Foods for three days, December 19-21, to collect the donations - and exceeded their goal.

Mackie also teamed up with Seattle radio station 103.7 The Mountain to give away a pair of Mackie’s award-winning HR624 active studio-grade speakers. Local resident Sean Bonney of Bothell, Wash. took home the prize worth $1,200.
